The 2026 CMAS World Cup Finswimming Indoor is set to take place from 2nd – 4th October 2026 in Coral Springs, Florida, USA, and the Underwater Sports Association India (USAI) is delighted to bring this international opportunity to the attention of our athletes, coaches, and state units.

Organised by Fit and Fins Aquatic Sports with the agreement of CMAS America and the Underwater Society of America — and officially authorised by CMAS (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques) — this World Cup event opens the door for CMAS-licensed athletes from around the world, including India, to compete on a truly global stage.

Coral Springs is located in Broward County, Florida, roughly 20 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale — a city known for its beaches, boating canals, and vibrant coastal lifestyle. The event will be hosted at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex, a purpose-built facility offering excellent racing conditions:

Who Can Participate

Participation in the CMAS World Cup is open to athletes holding a valid CMAS License, competing in accordance with CMAS competition rules and safety regulations. All participants are required to respect the rules and safety conditions set by both the organisers and CMAS.

Age Categories

  • Senior (Category A): 18 years and above
  • Junior 1 (Category B): 16 – 17 years
  • Junior 2 (Category C & D): 12 – 15 years

Both men's and women's divisions are contested across all categories.

Events on Offer

The 2026 CMAS World Cup Finswimming Indoor features a comprehensive program across three core finswimming disciplines:

Surface (SF): 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m Apnea (AP): 50m Bi-Fins (BF): 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m Relays: 4×100m Surface (Men/Women), 100m Mixed Surfaced Bi-fins (SB)

Note: This edition of the World Cup does not include Immersion events.

Competition Schedule at a Glance

The event runs across two full days of competition, with morning and evening sessions:

Day 1 (3rd October):

  • Morning: 50m Surface, 50m Bi-Fins, 800m Surface events, followed by medal ceremonies
  • Evening: 50m Apnea, 400m Bi-Fins, 4×100m Surface relays, followed by medal ceremonies

Day 2 (4th October):

  • Morning: 100m Surface, 100m Bi-Fins, 400m Surface, and Mixed relay events
  • Evening: 200m Surface, 200m Bi-Fins, 1500m Surface events, followed by medal ceremonies

(Delegations are expected to arrive on 2nd October, with departures on 5th October. The full detailed timetable is subject to change as per CMAS regulations.)

Judging, Classification & Awards

The competition will be overseen by an International Board of Judges operating under official CMAS Procedures and Obligations, with a CMAS Technical Delegate present throughout. Doping control will be conducted in line with CMAS and WADA regulations.

Results and rankings will be compiled across multiple classification categories:

  • Individual classification — by age category and gender
  • Club classification — based on combined athlete points
  • National Team classification — based on combined national team points
  • Countries ranking — an overall ranking based on national team performance

Medals will be awarded to the top three athletes in every individual race and relay, while cups will be presented to the top three clubs and top three national teams during the competition.
