A Heartfelt Thank You from USAI: 9th All India Finswimming Federation Cup & 3rd National Finswimming Masters Championship 2026

The 9th All India Finswimming Federation Cup 2026 and the 3rd National Finswimming Masters Championship 2026 have concluded successfully at Sir Vizzy Swimming Pool, Vijayawada. Three days of competition, sportsmanship, and national pride later, the Underwater Sports Association (India) — USAI, India's CMAS-affiliated Underwater Sports Federation of India, would like to say one thing above all else: thank you. 🌊

Championships like these are never the work of one person or one team. They happen because hundreds of people, in the pool and far away from it, give their time, energy, and belief to finswimming and underwater sports in India. This is our chance to thank every one of them.

To Our Athletes

You brought energy, discipline, and determination to every single race. From our youngest swimmers in the junior categories to our Masters athletes, you proved that passion for the sport has no age limit. Whether you stood on the podium or finished with a personal best, every one of you is a champion. 🏅

To the Parents

Your trust, patience, and encouragement are the foundation of every athlete's journey. Thank you for standing behind your children, for the early mornings and the long journeys, and for cheering them on from the stands.

To the Coaches

Your dedication and guidance behind the scenes shaped the performances we saw in the pool. Thank you for building not just stronger athletes, but good human beings.

To the Technical Officials, Referees, and Organising Staff

Your fairness, hard work, and long hours kept the competition smooth and professional from the first heat to the final medal ceremony. A championship is only as credible as the people officiating it, and you set a high standard.

To Our IT Engineers and Technical Team

Your work behind the screens made the event run smoothly, from the online registration portal to the systems that kept the championship organised and on schedule. Your commitment and quick problem-solving often go unseen, but they were essential to this success. 💻

To Our Esteemed Guests and Authorities

Your presence honoured the event and inspired our athletes. Thank you for your support and blessings.

To the Andhra Pradesh Unit and All State and UT Units

Thank you for hosting and organising this national event, and for your hospitality and teamwork. The Andhra Pradesh Unit's efforts, together with the state and UT units from across the country, are a reminder of what a united national structure can achieve.

To Our Supporters, Volunteers, and Well-Wishers

Your support, big or small, made a real difference. Every volunteer who helped on the pool deck, every supporter who shared a post, and every well-wisher who sent a message of encouragement helped make this championship what it was.

A Special Thank You to CMAS

USAI extends a special thank you to the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS), the World Underwater Federation, for its continued recognition of the Underwater Sports Association India as the national federation for underwater sports in India. 🌍 That recognition is what connects every race at a national championship to the wider international pathway, and we do not take it lightly.

A Note from the Organiser

Mr. Kuldip Patil, Secretary of the Finswimming Commission, India, and organiser of the championships, also had a message for the parents and athletes who travelled to Vijayawada:

"Organising a national championship of this size is a big responsibility, and despite our best efforts, there may have been some issues or inconveniences that parents and athletes faced during the event. For that, I sincerely apologise. We take every piece of feedback seriously, and we will keep learning and improving so that the next championship is even better for everyone."

USAI appreciates the patience and understanding shown by all participants and their families. Your feedback helps us improve with every event.

This Is Just the Beginning

Events like these are possible only because of the combined effort of many people. Together, we are growing finswimming and underwater sports in India, and this is just the beginning. 🇮🇳

To every athlete who competed in Vijayawada, keep training, keep improving, and keep your eyes on the next goal. To every state unit, coach, and parent, keep building. USAI will keep working to bring you more championships, more opportunities, and a stronger pathway from grassroots to the world stage.

See you at the next championship! 💙
